ZETA Strados Fusion Cello
Stylized lines and advanced electronic design come together in this fusion of tradition and technology to create a unique and versatile electric cello. The best of all worlds, Zeta's Strados Fusion Cello marries the state-of-the-art ergonomic solid-body instrument design and high-tech pickup systems with the feel of a traditional cello to create a Performer Series instrument specifically designed to meet the needs of the professional musician.
The active electronics and on-board volume, treble, and bass controls with a special mid-range EQ and frequency sweep provide extensive tonal flexibility for performance and recording applications.
Individual string digital outputs allow the use of each string as a separate MIDI channel. Access software notation programs and MIDI applications, using the Strados Fusion Cello as a MIDI controller.
For live performances and recording use the standard 1/4” analog output jack and Zeta’s AP-12 Amplifier for rich, feedback-free sound.
# Plug headphones into the auxiliary output jack for practice privacy.
# “Play-a-long” with the music by connecting a CD player or other music source into the auxiliary input jack.
# Use the built-in volume control to blend the level of the incoming music signal with the volume of the instrument to get the perfect “practice mix”.
# For recital performances use the standard 1/4” analog output jack and Zeta’s AP-12 Amplifier to fill the concert hall with rich, feedback-free sound.
The Strados Fusion Cello’s graceful design echoes the form of the classic acoustic cello outline in a fusion of slim lines and stylistic body dimensions. The body is a figured maple top over swamp ash tonewood.
The “set neck” is hardrock maple with an ebony fingerboard. The Strados Fusion Cello includes a special detachable chest body-rest and knee-guide to maintain the feel and positioning cues of a traditional acoustic cello.
Compact and lightweight, the Strados Fusion Cello transports easily and efficiently. Exclusive to Zeta, a deluxe soft-padded zippered gig bag is included with the cello, providing portability with protection.
