Dear ICS Friend,

As you may already know, after more than twenty glorious years, the Internet Cello Society is saying good-bye:

We now believe it is time to hand the reins over to somebody else, and CelloBello seems to be the perfect match. CelloBello has taken things to the next level, with videos and live presentations, in addition to publishing its own wonderful articles by acclaimed artists. It has been my view for quite some time that CelloBello has taken the baton from the ICS, but now it's time to make it official.

— Tim Janof

CelloBello salutes ICS Founders John Michel and Tim Janof for their pioneering use of the internet, and for beginning a global community of cellists and cello lovers that thrives to this day. CB is honored that John and Tim are gifting their rich web content to CelloBello.org, where the decades-worth of ICS content will continue to live. It is a privilege to be entrusted with this treasure trove of cello history, including the hundreds of artist interviews made by Tim Janof. We will ensure that these brilliant contributions to cello history will not be lost.

Our staff has sifted through and organized a formidable amount of ICS subject matter, is now integrating this material onto the CelloBello website, and in the next few weeks will begin periodic releases of this historic content. We will be maintaining our present CelloBello navigation menu (such as our Blog, Lessons, and Legacy categories), which are already familiar to our viewers, while uniquely tagging content to indicate ICS provenance.

If this sounds like a lot of work, it certainly is! It is labor intensive for our staff, and costly for our organization. We need your support! Please help CelloBello complete this historic acquisition of ICS. Make a tax-deductible donation to CelloBello.org today!

— Paul Katz
