| Antique (1800's) 4/4 professional level cello in Excellent Condition
The wonderful cello has a gorgeous, dark brown, oil varnish with double purfling on the front and back. The fingerboard, pegs and tailpiece are ebony. The end pin is removable and comes with different length spikes. The cello also comes with two bridges. The instrument has been lovingly cared for and is in excellent condition. It’s slightly longer than average string length gives it a wonderful, rich, open sound. Ideal for an advanced student or professional.
I retired as a professional musician 20 years ago and am now looking for a more modest instrument.
This cello has no label but several luthiers have estimated it's age at between 120 -150 years old and it's likely from Germany.
