Wow, what wonderful taste! Glad to see you like a lot of the same stuff I do. Yes, I used to have a recording of the Deep Purple concerto, but thought it sucked - but I was in love with Machine Head at the time. Is Einstürzende Neubauten still turning out stuff? It seems like the stuff I have from them is all more than 10 years old. And Tom Waits is a god of sorts. I'm going to have to check out some of the brazilian names you mentioned - which ones are the best in your opinion? FWIW, I also used to play in rock bands - lead guitar mostly. I still play a lot - just finished building a new guitar.
