I'll limit my comments. Suffice to say that I wouldn't so readily complain about Wrong Seating #1 and Wrong Seating #2 if I hadn't tried every possible way to make them work. I was actually enthusiastic about trying the switch to the inside when Barenboim first took over as music director, but quickly learned that for many reasons it simply did not work. Your positive experiences with different seatings do not invalidate my negative experiences. Change can be good, but sometimes it causes nothing but problems.
