My teacher is trying to choose a modern piece for me to play for a
scholorship audition next year and I wanted to play something a little
more shall we say traditional. Something along the lines of Vivaldi or
Saint-Saens. But I heard Yo-Yo Ma play Pagannini's Caprice (I hope that
is how you spell that) and Tamborine Chinios. I talked to my teacher
today and she said that Pagannini wouldn't be fesable right now but,
she has never heard of Tamborine Chinios for Cello. I really like the
Tamborine Chinios piece but, I can't get my hands on a copy of it. I
have even forgotten who wrote it, all I do know is that the original
composer transcribed it for his brother, I think his name was Hugo.
So if anybody has a copy and would like to maybe fax it along with the
piano part e-mail me and I will get in touch with you OR If Mr. Ma has e-mail
can try and see where he got it. Well any help from anybody would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
