I was over 50 years old and it was scarey!! I performed at our student recital after studying cello for about 8 months. I had to play after all the little kids -- most of whom seemed to do brilliantly. sigh. I WAS mighty proud of myself when I finished, but I am grateful that our teacher has since decided to separate the kids' and the adults' recitals. It is easier to goof in front of a group of peers!
Why is performing in recitals thought to be a growing experience?
