It's pretty difficult to find rental cellos that are not beginner quality. However, since school is letting out soon, all of the rental cellos that have been in schools during the year will start coming back to the stores. If you find a store that has rented out a few new ones, you may find something reasonable--and you'll certainly have a lot to choose from.
