Dear everyone,
I have to plan a recital for this time next year, and have to start thinking about it now - it's for uni.I am currently working on the Elgar concerto, and wonderedif you had anyt suggestions as to what I might do. My knowledge of the cello repertoire beyond the weel know stuff is somewhat limited. I have to present 3 to 4 pieces or movements lasting about 1/2 hour. I love Russian music, such as Shostakovich, Khachaturian and Kabalevsky. The pieces have to be contrasting in some way, and ideally would appeal to someone with little knowledge of the cello. If you have any suggestions, they would be very much appreciated.
