I sympathise, not only have you got a new cello that will sound very different for a while, but you've got to stretch your fingers further to reach the notes. How about if you go over some earlier grade stuff which you are very familiar with so that you can gradually adjust your fingering to the new positions on the bigger cello. If you use your ear wisely, you will soon get used to the change. Hope you enjoy it, is it a really nice cello?
