M,

This might surprise you, but the bitter feelings you have toward hypocrites are actually Christ-like. These are some quotes from Jesus:

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and every kind of filth. Even so, on the outside you appear righteous, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing." - Matthew 23;27-28

and again,

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord,Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Then I will declare to them solemnly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you evildoers." - Matthew 7;21-23

There are so many similar examples; He was quite a radical during His time in the world. He attacked the religious leaders for their hypocricy, calling them "serpents," and "brood of vipers." It is a shame that you should be rejecting Christianity for reasons that have nothing to do with Christ Himself.

I am overjoyed to find out that Paul Tseng and many of the prominent cellists here are christians.

Diane
