The Herbert has been recorded by Greenhouse, Harrell, and Lloyd-Webber, among others. It deserves to be better-known, but the passage-work isn't all that imaginative. It's certainly not as hard as the Dvorak (which it influenced), but requires a big, full sound throughout the instrument. At the approximate level of the Elgar, I'd say.
