Well, I think I can guess who this cellist you are talking about is...
Anyway, a comment or question about Feuermann's Dvorak recording....he is obviously one of the greatest cellists ever, but I find his tempi to be a little too frenetic and the playing feels a little too pushed through..on one hand it is amazing that he can play some of the stuff so fast, but on the other hand it seems just fast in general...perhaps this is just a charachteristic of playing at that time...by the way, isnt his arpeggione recording unbelievable? It is so wonderful stylistically and musically and such ease playing.
