Performance opportunities, individual lessons, chamber music coaching, as well as master classes will be offered to the participants. The courses are offered at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, School of Music in St. John’s, which boasts enviable facilities and the superb D.F. Cook Recital Hall. Students and Faculty will also present concerts of chamber music in selected churches in historic St.John’s, Newfoundland. Violinist Nancy Dahn, cellist Thomas Loewenheim, and pianist Timothy Steeves are faculty members at Memorial University of Newfoundland, School of Music. Master bow-maker Daniel Schmidt from Dresden, Germany, will be the bow-maker in residence. In addition to providing his services to the players, Mr. Schmidt will give a lecture on his craft.
