| My son has recently upgraded to a more expensive cello after playing this one for about 2 years. Cello was purchased from Nicholson Music in Folsom, CA. Label says "Carulli Mod:9".
We've had extensive customization done by Stephen Lohman, who makes fine violins and cellos. His work on this cello includes: dressing the fingerboard and improving the spacing of the strings; new custom bridge; new custom sound post for the best resonance possible. The cello currently has Larsen A and D strings, Spirocore G and C strings. The cello is in great shape for a student, with only minor dings to the edges.
This cello is perfect for a beginning to intermediate player, with great sound for the price. With all the work we've had done, you'll be hard pressed to find another at this price that plays as well.
We are also including a decent bow and light, backpack style case. The case needs a seam restitched, but otherwise offers good, light-weight protection with room for 2 bows and a music pouch.
Price is FIRM at $1250 for the cello, with bow and case as bonus.
Buyer to pay shipping costs; will meet a buyer in Sacramento or Bay Area.
