NINA PIASECKYJ

Hi my name is Nina. I am 27 yrs. old. I started playing the cello from the age of 8 1/2. I began playing professionally when I was in the eighth grade in a Philharmonic that featured artists such as The Paul Winter Consort.

I studied with Joel Moershoel of the BSO, at the New England Conservatory of Music and then jazz at Berkeley School of Music.

I am currently playing in rock bands and on recordings. Some of my past work includes playing with Rebecca Moore at the Knitting Factory in NYC (see Rebecca Moore's cd "Admiral Charcoal" and the Knitting Factory Sampler on the web), Yale Strohm and the Hot Pstromi Klezmer Band at the Knit, The Cheese on Curb Records, Rebecca Blausband and Gordon Gayno (Violent Femmes) on Warner Chapel Publishing/Mercury Records, performed w/ Jason
