ERIN FINGER



Erin began studying cello with Wayne Krigger in the Louisville Suzuki Program at the age of four. She has been a cello student of Louisville Orchestra member, Louise Harris, for three years and also travels to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music weekly to be a part of the Starling Chamber Orchestra and Starling Cello Choir. With the SCO, Erin participated in recording three compact discs and will be recording two more in 1997. Last March, Erin travelled with the SCO to Germany and Austria, where they performed concerts in Cologne, Munich, and Vienna.

Erin won first place in the elementary string division of the 1995 Corneille Overstreet Competition of the Louisville Arts Club. This year, Erin won the 1996 Renato Mastropaolo Cello Competition scholarship. Most recently, Erin was chosen by Disney to be a part of the Disney Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra. Erin performed as a cellist with this orchestra in concert in the Hollywood Bowl in June, 1996, and the concert was televised on the Disney Channel in August and September, 1996. Erin soloed with the Kling Chamber Orchestra several times this summer, playing in various retirement homes in the Louisville area.

Erin is in the sixth grade at Meyzeek Middle School, in Louisville, KY. Erin's hobbies include creating paper dolls, playing dress-up, reading, swimming, hiking, and playing on the computer.
